:: Painted again… this time by JT ::
23.4.07
The red was nice, but I’m not a spray painter… and it showed. The Mini deserved better. It just had to have a better paint job. So JT is a good friend who also knows how to spray a car, and he likes two pack, and he likes clear, (and I like shiny black) and he wanted to help make the Mini look like it should. JT put a lot more hours into the body. I thought it was good enough, it just needed to be shiny, but it wasn’t quite good enough for JT, so he spray puttied and sanded, and sanded and spray puttied, and sanded and sanded, and then painted. Clear is still to come, but this is what is looked like today after the first black, straight off the gun :) Theres a couple of runs, as the light in the shed wasnt too flash, but they’ll be rubbed out before the clear. The guards are also painted, will look damn nice when its all back together.. stay tuned for the final pics! oh and why black? Im over red, and black goes with everything :)
A BIG thankyou to JT for a fantastic paint job, I’ll post more pics of the finished car soon (after I wash, polish and take it down to the river for some specky shots :)

If anyone in the Bunbury area needs a paintjob, consider JT. He’s not a professional spraypainter and points out that it will be a pretty much backyard job, but compare it to professional spraypainting shops and JT does a great job at a reasonable price. Don’t contact JT if you need a car painted in a hurry, he prefers you leave him alone, no pressure, no deadlines, that way he can take his time and do it how he feels it should be done, without cutting corners. You’ll need to pay for the materials up-front, but Email JT for more info
